This article will explore how drones can be used to make your next construction project as easy as possible!

Every industry is becoming increasingly reliant on drones, but none more than the construction industry. From surveying and mapping to monitoring sites remotely, drones are changing how construction projects are done.

Mapping out a site with drones before work even begins speeds up the project by constructing better blueprints that reflect actual conditions on site. No longer will architects have to rely on drones and drones alone. Drones with 3D imaging capabilities can implement drones with lasers to scan a site, building and landscape in high resolution, before handing over data for architects and engineers to create the most accurate version of their vision possible.

Mobile mapping drones can also be used outside construction sites to help builders get an immediate bird’s eye view of the landscape they are working on. This helps drones operators easily assess the situation before landing at a site, flying drones through tight spaces and bridges, even basements.

Using drones for mapping also makes it easier to pinpoint problem areas in buildings or landscapes that might need repair or tweaks after construction has begun.

Drones can help make construction projects easier, safer, and more efficient by surveying sites remotely. This allows construction workers to get a better idea of the site, what needs to be done, and how best to do it. In addition, drones can help avoid dangerous situations by providing a birds-eye view of the construction site. By keeping an eye on the drones, construction workers can avoid potential accidents and injuries.

Mavic 3 Coming Soon: DJI Releases Big Update to Fly App

DJI Fly app update

The DJI Fly app has received a big update in the iOS app store, even though there are no major changes to be found in it. The company launched the third version of its software in June 2018 and then later added support for its Mavic 2 drones back in July this year. Since then, there have been no major changes made to the app. However, a new update has just been released in the iOS store and it comes with version 3.1.0 of the DJI Fly app.

UPDATES

Today’s software update brings a slew of under-the-hood improvements for both Mavic Pro and Spark users that will ensure a stable connection between their drones and the app.

  • The changelog says there are stability improvements for Mavic Pro, Spark, Phantom 4 Series (v1 & v2), and Inspire 2 users. Not only that but DJI has also added support for its new Goggles Racing Edition accessory that was announced earlier this year.
  • The update weighs in at a hefty 77MB and it is compatible with iOS 11.3 or later. It also brings the DJI Goggles Racing Edition support for Mavic Pro, Spark, Phantom 4 Series (v1 & v2) and Inspire 2 users.

But that is not all because DJI has also added Spark Night Flight. This feature lets users take off and fly their Spark drone in low-light conditions at night. The new version is 3.1.0, up from 3.0.2 in the previous release.

It should be noted that there are no significant changes in these updates except for some stability improvements. It’s likely that DJI is just doing some groundwork for introducing new features in the near future. We will let you know if we find out what these new changes are about so stay tuned!
